Drafting Value Trees!

One of our assignments, to help us with brainstorming during the design process is to create “Value Trees” for the Land, or Client and ourselves (the Designer). The thought is that values that are important to each entity form the “base of the tree”, the goals form the “branches”, and the criteria for determining success of these goals are the “leaves”. These words and phrases were scavenged from a client questionnaire and interview, mapping out different flows on the property, and direct observation.

These were designed on a free brainstorming website called WiseMapping.

In these, the values look more like roots, with the branches (goals) and leaves (criteria) shooting off the the left.
