Forever, I’ve been running. Chasing adventures, running from my depression. Trying to get a handle on life and my place in it. But I ran out of energy in Fairbanks, Alaska – gliding in on the fumes of a dying dream and the hope of a new beginning.

And it hasn’t been easy, but I am trying to grow roots. Roots in the frozen ground. Learning to feed myself with a garden and wild food, learning how to spin yarn, sew furs, and keep bees, trying to build a life from scratch.

This is my attempt to connect with those I left behind along the way, and to share my journey with those who find themselves at the edge of the wilderness looking for home.
